Residential Care Worker

Full Time | 30 Hours per week

We are recruiting for talented Residential Support Workers to join our amazing teams who make a real difference to our children and young people every single day they come to work! These rewarding roles will work in our modern 4 bedroom children’s and young adults’ homes (age range 3-25 years old) at our single site in Cheadle Hulme, near Manchester airport - no travel or nights required.

The salary range for the roles is £18,579 - £19,977 but with our enhanced rates of pay for weekends and bank holiday shifts the earnings range is £19,828 - £21,320, and overtime is also available, paid at time and a half.

The Details
· You’ll work a rolling rota with shifts over 7 days (every other weekend)
· During term time, there are a small number of split shifts each month, but none in school holidays
· If you’re not qualified we’ll support you to achieve a recognised level 3/ 4 qualification
· These active roles will involve providing daily care and support for our children and young people including personal care needs, mobility, daily routine support, communication, independent living skills, learning and leisure activities
· Challenging behaviours will present in these roles, so to fully support our young people, candidates should be comfortable working in this type of environment (full training is provided)
· The hours are 37.5 hours per week, with enhanced weekend and bank holiday rates of pay (time and a third), and overtime is also available
· These are full time permanent roles with good career development opportunities

Experience and Qualifications:
· Experience working in a care setting supporting children/people with complex learning disabilities and communication, behavioural and sensory impairments or in a mental health setting is preferred but not essential. We can also consider life experience.
· GCSE English and Maths (grade A-C) or level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification is a requirement for these positions.
